Succinct Study of Oracle SQL BI API as Evolution

SQL API Evolution
from Oracle9i through Oracle19g

This is a visual summary of my presentation at Oracle USA for the NYOUG 2019 Winter General Meeting. It recounts my technical experience and that of others through previous studies in the Oracle business intelligence landscape. This study concludes that Oracle's SQL BI API is both robust and compliant with all SQL standards in the market, with SQL primitives allowing new keywords and both functionality and usability through different versions over a decade. On the other hand functionality available through PL/SQL entails an optimal level of coupling and cohesion, as appropriate.  Nearly, every PL/SQL package provides function overloading to optimize the flexibility required by the increasing diversity of native and user-defined data types, while enforcing Agile paradigms in the fields of object-oriented and aspect-oriented software engineering for the optimal application of the great variety of SQL BI API discussed in my presentation.

Thanks to NYOUG President, Simay Alpoge, and Margaret Roy, Executive Director Office, for having me in this winter's session.
